REACT PLAYER / LEGAL

Terms of Use

Effective: 17 August 2026

Plain version: React Player is a free streamer tool that depends on several third-party services. Use it responsibly and understand that providers, APIs, browsers, OBS, and Streamer.bot can change or stop working.

1. Operator

KVALVIK STUDIOS Sole proprietorship (ENK) Organisation no. 936 409 113 · MVA-registered 8013 Bodø, Norway Official registered business details [email protected]

2. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using React Player, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the React Player Privacy Policy.

3. YouTube Terms of Service

React Player uses YouTube API Services. By using React Player's YouTube features, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

4. The service

React Player provides a hosted OBS media player and control dock designed to work with Streamer.bot. The hosted service is free of charge. Supported providers and features may change over time.

5. Third-party services

React Player depends on services and software not controlled by Kvalvik Studios, including YouTube, Twitch, Medal, TikTok, Streamer.bot, OBS Studio, Cloudflare, jsDelivr, and StreamElements.

Those services have their own terms, policies, technical restrictions, and availability. Kvalvik Studios is not responsible for provider outages, removed content, advertisements, account restrictions, API changes, or other provider-controlled behavior.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you configure and use React Player on your stream, including the media you choose to play, the commands/triggers you enable, and compliance with your streaming platform's rules and applicable law.

If you enable viewer requests, chat scanning, tips, or moderator controls, information such as viewer names, IDs, submitted links, and timestamps may be stored locally in your Streamer.bot installation. You control that local data and are responsible for handling it appropriately.

Do not use React Player to bypass access controls, intentionally infringe rights, distribute malware, or abuse third-party services.

7. Open-source software license

The React Player source code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The license is available in the public GitHub repository.

These Terms govern the hosted React Player service. They do not remove or reduce rights granted by the GPL for licensed source code.

8. No warranty

React Player is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Kvalvik Studios does not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every setup, or permanent support for every third-party provider.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights where they apply.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kvalvik Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of React Player, third-party failures, removed media, stream interruptions, or user configuration.

10. Changes and availability

React Player may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. These Terms may also be updated when the service, law, or third-party requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, subject to mandatory rights or rules that apply in your country and cannot legally be waived.
